"Poetry can not be made ??up of words alone." How true, and being a poet, Stephen B. Wiley offers much more than words in his wonderful collection, "Mockingbird Come Home". The pages here are full of memories and moments, emotions, attitudes and artistically designed images with words.
"Mockingbird Come Home" is what will be the poem. Shown is a moment in time, a place to write in the heart of "Where We Live" and "About Us", the two sections of thethe book. The "where" both on the places that I know personally, not that it is important to describe the settings in Vermont, Florida and New Jersey clearly visible with the imagination, through the words of John Wiley & Sons are supported . From a minimum of water Lake Champlain to the dynamics of colorful Key West, memories of places, the actions are personal postcards. The "Who" is even more attractive, so eloquently with stories from the gnarled hands and mapped vein, grandpa nap before dinner, and thePoet, poetry is.
Reading the verses of Stephen B. Wiley is a pleasure to be compared with a day at an art gallery. The fans will see the various aspects of each work of art, perhaps, thought what the artist / poet, but perhaps something else entirely. The joy is in discovery. "Mockingbird Come Home" is a poetic delight excellent job. I liked it.
