Bill Self To Enter Oklahoma Sports Hall Of Fame

Bill Self has become known for taking teams that look on paper to be rebuilding and then turn them into national contenders, usually racking up awards along the way.

Add another one to the list. Self is one of seven individuals named to the 2013 induction class for the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.

Announced by State Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb. The induction will take place August 5th at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.

Bill Self is a native of Edmond, Oklahoma and was the state high school basketball player of the year in 1981 before playing collegiately at Oklahoma State and coaching at Oral Roberts and Tusla, both in Oklahoma...
