The Role
Reporting to Core Marketing, the Marketing Program manager will be responsible for working with the Bloomberg Professional service Segment Business Leaders to define and build a marketing plan to increase top and bottom line performance of the related asset class businesses. This individual will work closely with the sales and product managers in the businesses to ensure that the business unit?s revenue and profit objectives are adequately supported with well-informed and innovative marketing programs and will also be responsible for sales channel readiness through sales training, sales tools and materials to efficiently and effectively deliver a return on the marketing investment. The Marketing Program Manager will also tap into the Central Marketing functional areas to execute marketing programs including but not limited to sales enablement, events management, customer relationship marketing, and advertising.. The Marketing Program Manager will create holistic and differentiated go-to-market strategies in support of multiple audiences and asset classes. In this role, the Program manager will:
- Partner with the CMO and Central Marketing teams to support business unit goals, e.g., strategically sound marketing plans, customer segmentation, creative marketing programs and relevant metrics while ensuring alignment with the Bloomberg brand.
- Understand the needs of the regional business leaders to ensure that our financial data and products are marketed appropriately in the international markets
- Drive Sales Enablement programs to ensure sales channel readiness through sales training, sales tools and materials-Manage business unit marketing budget.
- Work with market research on the market opportunity, segments and go-to-market strategy
- In addition, a key responsibility of the job will be to understand and become an advocate for the Bloomberg brand and ensure that all marketing activity undertaken on behalf of the Bloomberg Professional service is aligned with and supports the Bloomberg brand.

Qualifications and General Skills Requirements include:
- 10 years of relevant marketing experience, most preferably in a marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, agency or consulting environment in an account management or a similar role for well-branded organizations in Financial Markets.
- Track record of success in working in and influencing a fast-paced, fast-growing global organization.
- Experience in successfully operating in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Track record of creating strategies and executing on those strategies. Experience in managing end-to-end marketing from analysis and planning through execution of successful marketing programs.
- Experience in packaging, positioning, pricing and launching new products and/or services.
- Experience in product management/marketing, sales support, new product development and use of market research and analysis
- Must have strong technical aptitude characterized by the ability to understand technical concepts, value proposition and benefits and translate them to a variety of audiences.
-Proven ability to build a marketing capability from scratch and to evangelize and teach marketing principles and practices to relevant stakeholders.
- Substantial agency and/or project management experience of the creative process from project scope and objective setting, brief and program development through production;
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple audiences and against deadline;
- Extensive advertising, media planning and buying, direct marketing, events and new media knowledge with practical experience developing and implementing programs;
- Significant hands-on experience building and executing on marketing programs that leverage multiple channels to achieve marketing and business goals with measurable results. Significant knowledge of marketing communications best practices.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities and experience levels;
- Superior communication skills, including writing, editing and verbal capabilities;
- Pragmatic sense of business acumen, problem solving abilities, creativity, and sense of "getting things done".
- Budget management skills
- A bachelor's degree is required. MBA or related advanced degree would be preferred.
