It comes out after NAIC did a July 2012 sur?vey that dis?cov?ered many Amer?i?cans don?t know what to do after a crash.
? The sur?vey showed con?sumers were unsure about best prac?tices to fol?low right after an auto acci?dent, such as when to call the police or what per?sonal infor?ma?tion to exchange with the other dri?ver ? at a time when iden?tity theft is a fast-growing crime in the U.S.
? WreckCheck out?lines what to do imme?di?ately fol?low?ing an auto acci?dent and takes users through a step-by-step process to cre?ate their own acci?dent report. It also pro?vides tips for stay?ing calm, safe and smart on the road, and makes it easy to cap?ture pho?tos and doc?u?ment the nec?es?sary infor?ma?tion to file an insur?ance claim. Addi?tion?ally, the app lets users email a com?pleted acci?dent report directly to them?selves and their insur?ance agents.
