Chinese Activist in Wait-and-See Mode

BEIJING?Blind Chinese activist Chen Guangcheng said he has made some progress in his effort to leave China to study in the U.S., but he continued to question the treatment of a family member by Chinese officials.

Mr. Chen also said the Chinese government still must prove it will carry through with its commitment to let him leave under a deal between the U.S. and Chinese governments to defuse an international incident involving Mr. Chen.
