UNO Rule - Selfimprovement is over, welcome the theory of change

This is my declaration of intent from now on to keep a guidelines that I think most appropriate.

Given that motivation is personal to each one. No one can motivate anyone who doesn?t want to be motivated

I will keep the line of the web, looking for helping those who think they need it. Instead of improving, I will focus on change.

RIP selfimprovement

Many motivational books speak of inspiration, personal improvement, growth?

Those are concepts that now no I am going to try to eradicate from my articles. I even created a term, exponential growth. I started my way influenced by all that terminology, but I concluded that it is wrong.

Grow and improve implies that we know what is better or worse. Improvement itself would be closer to perfection. But humans cannot know perfection. Then, we cannot improve.

Both, inspiration and motivation are personal. If it is not had, it is not really wanted. It is wasting time on extraneous goals that we really do not want, by creating false objectives that will not give us happiness.

RIP personal development

Development to where? Are we a product with versions like in technology?

If it is personal, self is the only one who can do it. The development involves following a path that others have labeled we should follow. I always remember in this case Steve Jobs, who went to college, he spent a semester, and left, that was not his way.

Nobody has to tell us which way to go, no one but ourselves.

The theory of change

In life we cannot take baby steps and see if we succeed or not. In life there are changes, there is no going back. Nothing we do can be undone.

In life we can only have a goal and a place where we are, the rest is empty. All we can do is jump in the hope of falling into that place we want. We do not know where we are going to fall until we fall. So we are afraid to change.

False motivation, external inspirations, all tips to improve? everything, we may create false goals we want to achieve, when perhaps we are where we wanted to, and after leaving that place we cannot return.

Change is motivated by ourselves. We do not need anyone telling us what to do or what we should want.
